Tennessee Arts Commission and GCS Education Foundation Art Box Locations throughout Greeneville, Tennessee
Traffic boxes around Greeneville, Tennessee were transformed with student art by a partnership of the Greeneville City Schools Education Foundation and the Tennessee Arts Commission.
The project originated in 2021 when Mrs. Angie Shelton, guidance counselor at Tusculum View Elementary, received a Focus Grant from GCSEF to fund a traffic box art project in front of Lowe's Home Improvement. The project was well received throughout the community and GCSEF began looking for ways to expand the opportunity to each school.
Through the Arts Build Communities program, GCSEF was able to provide each school the opportunity to select student art work to be featured throughout our community.
